Connect Elemental TV to Claude

Anton Tkachuk··4 min read

Query your ad server in plain English — no dashboard required.

Elemental TV now runs a remote MCP server. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard for connecting AI assistants to external systems. Connect it once, and Claude can read your Elemental TV data directly — campaigns, creatives, deals, DSP and SSP configuration, inventory, targeting, reporting, and the full audit log — and answer questions about it in plain language.

The connection is read-only. Claude can query and report. It cannot create, edit, or delete anything in your account.

What you need

01 An Elemental TV account with Google sign-in. The MCP server authenticates through Google OAuth.

02 A Claude account on a plan that supports custom connectors. Anthropic publishes current plan requirements and setup steps here: Get started with custom connectors using remote MCP

On Claude Team and Enterprise plans, an organization Owner typically adds the connector once for the workspace, and each member then connects with their own Elemental TV credentials.

How to connect

Step 1 — Add the Elemental TV connector in Claude

Add a custom connector using this server address:

https://mcp.elementaltv.io/mcp

No client ID or secret is required — Claude registers itself automatically.

Claude's interface changes from time to time, so follow Anthropic's current setup guide for where the connector settings live in your version.

Step 2 — Enable the connector in your conversation

Adding a connector does not switch it on everywhere. Make sure Elemental TV is enabled in the specific chat you're working in.

Step 3 — Sign in to Elemental TV

Type: "Connect to Elemental TV."

Claude returns a sign-in link. Open it, authenticate with the Google account you use for Elemental TV, and return to the chat.

Step 4 — Choose your account

Claude lists every Elemental TV tenant you have access to. Reply with the account ID you want as your default.

That's it. Sessions expire periodically — when they do, repeat Steps 3 and 4.

What you can ask

Campaigns and delivery

  • Which campaigns are live right now, and what are their flight dates?
  • Show me every creative on campaign 12345 and flag anything missing an asset.
  • Show me every campaign having delivery issues.

Demand

  • List all active deals with their floor prices.
  • Pull the full configuration for this demand source.

Supply

  • What supply sources are connected on this account?
  • Show me the inventory tree and which items are currently enabled.

Reporting

  • Run a report on the last 7 days — impressions and revenue, grouped by supply source.
  • What dimensions and metrics are available to report on?

Audit

  • Who changed this campaign in the last 30 days, and what exactly did they change?
  • Show me every update made by the system this week.

Claude reads the actual configuration, so follow-up questions work the way you'd expect — narrow the date range, group differently, or ask why two entities are set up inconsistently.

What's available

39 tools across the platform. Every entity supports both filtered search and full-detail retrieval, including batch lookup by internal or external ID.

Good to know

01 Read-only. No writes, no edits, no deletions. Claude reports on your setup; it does not change it.

02 Your permissions carry over. Claude sees exactly what your Elemental TV login sees, and nothing beyond it.

03 Multi-tenant works without reconnecting. If you have access to several accounts, name the one you want in your question and Claude will query it directly.

04 Audience insights need a second sign-in. 1Audience credentials are stored separately. Ask Claude to connect to 1Audience when you need insight queries.

05 Not limited to Claude. Any assistant that supports remote MCP servers can use the same address. Claude is the client we document and test against.
